Many software teams struggle with divisive issues on LLM usage. Some team members use them a lot, some a little, some not.
Pull request summaries with loads of text, and verbose code with tons of comments. Hard to spot bugs, weird logic and LLM word salad. There is no way you treat your colleague by 'throwing over the fence' such low-quality work. Colleagues are angry with each other and trust is evaporating.
Lack of trust is the number one reason of a team to be dysfunctional, as described in The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni.
If we ever want to find a way to work with each other again, we need hard agreements on how you pass on work to a colleague. Vibin' it and then passing the buck is not OK. Use LLM however you like, but check your work and take responsibility. The way colleagues cooperate now is as unmaintainable as LLM generated code.
