The Qt Bridge for C# gives C# GUI development a modern, scalable frontend option. It adds cleanly to your existing C# stack with all the UI capabilities you need, topped with proven stability. Get Started →
For C# GUI development, many available options are outdated, others are yet to reach full maturity. Especially when developing more complex applications, that causes challenges in ensuring cross-platform consistency, scaling UI performance, and integrating smoothly to the backend, legacy systems, and 3rd party modules. You may struggle with native styling or limited ability to customize. Overall, maintaining the frontend requires significant effort.
So we bridged a better option for you. Switching to a mature, GPU-accelerated UI framework gives you all the UI capabilities you need with long-term stability for both new and modernization projects.
A GPU-accelerated frontend that grows with your app, with extensive UI capabilities.
One C# codebase and one UI for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with native look and feel.
A modern UI layer on top of your backend logic, with the usual C# workflow.
The Qt Bridge for C# is in Technology Preview. Try it out and send us your feedback!
Qt Quick comes with all the UI capabilities you need for modern, cross-platform applications, including ready-made controls, styling that adapts to target platform, as well as graphics and data visualization.
Easily ensure your product is accessible to everyone. Qt Quick comes with ready-made UI accessibility capabilities that work out-of-the-box, cross-platform. They’re also easily customizable.
QML can be both interpreted and compiled, meaning no tradeoff between fast iteration and performance. It works with mature tooling from IDEs to debuggers, profilers, refactoring to testing.
Qt GUIs run smoothly also in case of large or more complex applications, thanks to the built-in GPU-acceleration and reduced runtime memory for visual- and animation-heavy interfaces.
Install the Qt Bridge for C# with NuGet, keep your C# workflow, and add QML as your UI layer.

The Qt Bridge for C# lets you write your UI once in QML and run it on Windows, macOS, and Linux, while your application logic stays in C#. Embedded Linux also works when it behaves like regular Linux. iOS, Android, and web targets aren’t yet supported in the Technology Preview.
Yes. With the Qt Bridge for C#, you describe your UI in QML instead of XML. QML is a declarative language built for user interfaces: you describe what the UI should look like, and Qt Quick keeps it in sync with your C# backend logic. That makes UI code shorter, more readable, easy to learn, and quick to prototype.
Both are declarative languages to describe a UI, but XAML is XML-based markup, while QML is a language purpose-built for UIs, with property bindings and JavaScript expressions built in. QML can be both interpreted for fast iteration and compiled for predictable performance. With the Qt Bridge for C#, the QML UI layer adds cleanly in front of your C# backend.
Yes. Especially if your backend already separates logic from the UI, the backend can stay untouched while you build a new GUI in front of it. With the Qt Bridge for C#, you keep your existing C# libraries, NuGet dependencies, and practices, and expose your C# objects and data models directly to a QML frontend.
Yes. The Qt Bridge for C# exposes your view models to QML without extra attributes: public members are available by default, properties that implement INotifyPropertyChanged become bindable, and C# events become QML signal handlers. You can fine-tune what’s exposed with attributes, and your familiar C# workflow and tooling stay the same.
No. The Qt Bridge for C# lets you build both the UI and the backend logic without writing C++ or learning Qt’s own container types. You do need to learn QML, a declarative UI language that’s easy to learn and read, as well as some Qt concepts. For the rest, you stay in your usual C# workflow.
The Qt Bridge for C# gives you Qt Quick’s graphs for data visualization, plus advanced 2D and 3D graphics, from a C# backend. Your data processing stays in C#, QML binds to it directly, and rendering is GPU-accelerated through Qt Quick’s efficient scene graph, reducing also runtime memory use for visually heavy interfaces.
Your application code is. With the Qt Bridge for C#, you write the backend in C# and the UI in QML, both memory-safe languages. Like every C# UI framework, Qt renders through native code, in Qt’s case C++. That core is maintained under a public security policy, and, on top, the Qt Bridge reduces the amount of application code exposed to manual-memory risks.
