Engine-X is a free interactive 3D atlas of real machines. Rotate a machine, explode it into its parts, cut it in section, switch on X-ray mode and watch it run with true kinematic motion, all in your phone or computer browser. Nothing to install, no account needed.

Eight machines so far: a turbocharger, a centrifugal pump, a V-belt pulley drive, a helical gear reducer, a planetary gearbox, a reciprocating air compressor, a plate heat exchanger and an inline-6 marine diesel engine, with more added regularly.

Yes. Every machine can be downloaded as GLB or STL, with each part available on its own, under the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence with credit to Engine-X. On a phone you can also place the model in augmented reality (AR).

Engine-X is built by Parth Parmar, a mechanical engineer from Jamnagar, India, who models every machine part by part.
