The workspace to review and plan before AI builds

Prisment is a free, local-first workspace — the verification layer between human intent and AI-generated software. Open your whole project folder, review what your AI drafted, decide what gets built and plan the work. No account, and your files stay on your device. Use it alone with your AI agent. Share only when you want to.

Start with your idea. Draft the plan in the AI tool you already use. Review its files in Prisment and plan the work before asking it to build.

You01

Start with your vision

Describe what you want to build, who it is for and what matters most.

Your AI tool02

Draft in your AI tool

Ask the assistant or agent you already use to draft requirements, design and API specs. Save the drafts as files.

Plan the work in Prisment

Choose which solution, in what order and by when. Plans holds the dates and owners; Notes keeps the options you weighed.

Kept as plain Markdown files.

How Plans and Notes work

Give AI the full picture.

AI writes code faster than teams can validate architectural intent. When the plan is unclear, each new prompt can pull the build in a different direction. Review the draft design and architecture, set the boundaries, and record your decisions in the files. Settle the solution and the timeline in Plans and Notes. Then give your AI tool the agreed plan to write code with pinpoint accuracy.

Your vision guides the work. Your decisions shape accurate code.

AGENTS.md — tells your agent where the decisions live

Your folder can look different. What matters is keeping the agreed requirements and design where your agent can read them.

YOUR WHOLE PROJECT FOLDEROpen your entire project folder in one step

Choose the folder your AI agent writes to and every document, API spec, diagram and picture inside it opens in one workspace, with a file tree, working links between files and changes shown as they are saved. Prisment reads the folder where it is, on your own computer, and your files stay there.

Open it where it is

In the desktop app, Chrome, Edge or another Chromium browser, pick the folder once and Prisment mounts it. Your edits are written back to the same files.

Safari and Firefox too

Use Import Folder in the Files sidebar to bring a folder’s supported files into a browser workspace. They are copied into this browser on your device, never to a server.

Stays in step with your agent

When your agent saves a file in the folder, Prisment picks up the change, so you review each draft as it lands.

PRIVATE TEAM REVIEWReview with your team. Carried by Git or your trusted cloud.

Comment on a passage, decide each point and approve the exact versions you read. The review is saved as files in your project folder, so Git or your team’s synced cloud (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox) carries it through local folder sync — no server, no account, no share link.

Comment on the page

Select words in a rendered document, table or diagram. Suggest a change, flag an issue or mark it reviewed. Only the person who started the review decides and approves.

Git or your trusted cloud

Commit and push through Git, or keep the project in a local folder synced by OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. Colleagues open the folder in Prisment and reply — carried by the storage your team already trusts.

Commit without leaving

In the desktop app, Source Control stages, commits, pushes, pulls and clones with your own git. In a browser it reads the repository without changing it.

FROM VISION TO PUBLISHPublish the plan you agreed on.

Everything above works for one person and their AI agent, and sharing is your choice. When you want to show the work to a client, investor or team, give them a clear version: one interactive document, a linked documentation site or a PDF for the meeting.

Share the decisions with the files behind them. Export a readable HTML document, a linked documentation site, or a PDF when the conversation needs a handout.

YOUR FILES, YOUR CONTROLYour documents stay on your device

Prisment reads and renders your documents locally. No document upload or account is needed. You choose the files to open, the folders to connect and what to share.

Local document processing

Markdown parsing, diagram rendering, and themes run locally in browser memory.

Your approved storage

Open a local folder in the desktop app or browser. Sync reviews and plans via your company’s existing GitHub, OneDrive, or Google Drive through local folder sync — with zero new cloud silos.

You control sharing

Documents stay local until you choose to export or share them.

01WYSIWYG Markdown editor & viewerRead and edit Markdown with split preview, raw source or a WYSIWYG canvas — format on the page, with clean Markdown on disk.

02Read and refine filesBring documents, API specs, tables and images into one workspace. Edit Markdown and inspect the details.

03Understand diagramsExplore Mermaid diagrams, animate flows and share a GIF or image.

04Style and shareGive the document a theme, then export it as interactive HTML, an offline docs site or PDF.

05Open your whole folderOpen an entire project folder, kept on your device, and follow changes as your agent saves. See how its files connect and copy a context pack for any AI tool; an optional desktop assistant can work with the same folder.

06Review and GitComment on a passage, decide and approve. The review is saved in your folder and carried by Git or a shared drive; the desktop app commits and pushes from the same window.
