Chinese desktop 3D-printer startup Baishida has completed an angel-plus funding round exclusively backed by Still Water Lake Venture Partners. The amount was not disclosed. The financing follows an earlier angel round funded solely by GL Ventures, with the latest proceeds earmarked for manufacturing, research and development, hiring and working capital. The Ningbo-based company develops consumer and professional 3D printers using Layered Membrane Stereolithography, a resin-printing process based on laser scanning and membrane transfer. The technology supports high-viscosity resins, allowing a wider range of material properties. Baishida is preparing its first product for commercialization, with a founding team whose experience spans printing algorithms, resin-printing hardware and Lenovo’s printer business.
