Kevin Chen, the executive overseeing TikTok’s e-commerce operations in Europe, is preparing to leave ByteDance, STAR Market Daily reported on October 26. Song Qi will take responsibility for the business across the UK and Europe, according to the report. Chen previously served as executive president of Didi’s ride-hailing business before joining ByteDance in late 2020. He initially led the Huoshan short-video business, later took charge of news app Jinri Toutiao and subsequently moved into TikTok’s e-commerce operations. Following a restructuring in December 2025, his responsibilities focused on the UK, Europe and Japan. The reported departure marks another leadership change in TikTok’s international shopping business. [STAR Market Daily, in Chinese]
