Design

Easy to hold. Impossible to put down.

There’s so much more to love about the new iPad mini. It’s more portable and powerful than ever. It’s the lightest iPad yet — 14 percent thinner than the previous model.1 A stunning new OLED display delivers incredible visuals on a larger-than-ever 8.5-inch canvas.4 It’s perfect for travel, beautiful, and resistant to dust, splashes, and spills, too.5

8.5-inch OLED display4

8.5″8.5 inches OLED display. Now with a Super Retina XDR display for brilliant brights and deeper blacks. Optional nano-texture glass reduces glare indoors and out.

Water and dust resistance5

Water and dust resistance. Resists splashes, spills, and whatever else the day throws at it.

Camera system

Camera system. The 12MP Center Stage front camera is now on the landscape edge, perfect for selfies and video calls. The 12MP Wide back camera delivers stunning photos and 4K video. The Adaptive True Tone flash improves low-light photography and document scanning.

Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil. iPad mini works with Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB‑C). Design an illustration, sketch a still life, animate unique characters, and more.3

OLED display

Color and precision by the pixel.

OLED comes to iPad mini. The new Super Retina XDR display delivers deep, vivid colors and incredibly high contrast for your viewing pleasure. With 1200 nits peak brightness and 1 nit minimum brightness, content is easy on the eyes in any light. Colors are incredibly vivid and accurate, with support for P3 wide color and True Tone technology that automatically adapts white balance to match ambient lighting. And an optional nano-texture glass finish helps reduce glare even in challenging lighting conditions.

With 24 percent thinner bezels1 than the previous iPad mini, the Super Retina XDR display is a more expansive 8.5-inch canvas,4 making room for all your shows, photos, books, and notes.

Brilliant color, true blacks, and remarkable contrast.

OLED technology comes to life on iPad mini — delivering pixel-level lighting control, rich and accurate colors, and deeper dynamic range.

Optional nano-texture glass.

Nano-texture display glass scatters ambient light instead of bouncing it back, so you get less glare without losing contrast or color accuracy. Whether you’re working outside, traveling, or creating on the go, what’s on the screen stays clear and readable.

Performance

Seriously powerful. Ridiculously fun.

A20 Pro is the most powerful and power-efficient chip built for iPad mini yet. The powerful CPU delivers up to 60 percent faster performance than the previous model. The GPU is up to 2.7x faster, enabling Dynamic Caching, hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing for incredible graphics.6 And with double the memory bandwidth, everything you do feels even more responsive.1

Neural Accelerators in the GPU speed up AI tasks by up to 4.5x for large language model (LLM) token generation.9 A faster and up to Dual 16-core Neural Engine on the 512GB model delivers twice the peak compute power for on-device AI.10
