SpiritFone 1.0.2 adds a Check for Updates button and tidies the left sidebar. The installer and SpiritFone.exe are digitally signed, as in 1.0.1.
SpiritFone is a real-time audio processor for EVP (electronic voice phenomena) listening sessions. It creates its own white noise and then passes that noise through a chain of up to eight processing stages ("plugins"). The stages shape, filter and clean the sound so that any voice-like content in it is easier to hear. You listen to the result live through headphones or speakers, and you can record it to WAV files.
The SHA-256 checksum of SpiritFone-Setup-1.0.2.exe is:
1b4e81b110f766ef154701afcf104dbc4ee0a6e0264d837770cc50c684ea6c86
To check your copy: press the Windows key, type cmd, press Enter, and paste this line:
certutil -hashfile "%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\SpiritFone-Setup-1.0.2.exe" SHA256
If you saved the file somewhere else, put its full path inside the quotes. If the result matches the line above, the file is the one published here, unchanged. You can also right-click the file, choose Properties, and open the Digital Signatures tab to see the signature.
On 2026-10-18 this file was scanned with Microsoft Defender (antivirus signature version 1.461.89.0), and no threats were found.
Requirements: 64-bit Windows, about 1 CPU core, 230 MB of RAM and 100 MB of disk space.
License: see the license page in the installer. Third-party components are each under their own license.
About the "Source code" files below: GitHub adds these two archives to every release automatically. They contain this repository only: the README, the license texts and the LSP plugin source (LSP-Plugins/), which is included to meet the LSP license. They do not contain the source code of SpiritFone itself.
