Am I the only one who thinks the job title "Founding [jobTitle]" is stupid? Here are my reasons: a) You're creating unnecessary confusion between this Founding Engineer and each hire after. Is he the lead? Is she my boss? What differentiates me as a Senior Engineer vs the Founding Engineer? b) Does it denote equity? Oh boy, Shelia is a founding engineer she must have equity. WGAF? c) Does it denote they're a high impact employee? Fine, when i get the second engineer job I'll let the founding engineer talk to Claude. Grab me a cup of coffee. d) Listen to the stupidity out loud: Me and the founding engineer walk into a bar. Bartender asks what do you do for work? I'm a founding engineer!
