GenRobot AI, a Beijing-based company providing data infrastructure for robot development, has completed a $100 million Series A+ funding round. The financing closed in the third quarter and was disclosed on November 2. Participating investors include SAIC Motor, Malaysia’s Eastworlds, Baidu, Shoucheng Holdings, and Galaxy General Robotics, alongside financial investors including GL Ventures, CITIC Goldstone, CCB International, and Huatai Zijin. GenRobot AI develops equipment and software for collecting human demonstrations that can be used to train robots. Its recording systems capture visual information together with hand and body movements across household, manufacturing, and logistics tasks. Its Matrix platform then synchronizes, cleans, and labels those recordings, providing robot developers with data for training and evaluation. [Sina Finance, in Chinese]
