Chinese AAA wuxia game Phantom Blade Zero tops 822,000 concurrent Steam players

Phantom Blade Zero reached a peak of 822,361 simultaneous players on Steam over the weekend following its October 29 release, according to Steam Charts. The figure measures players online at the same time rather than total sales. Developed by China’s S-GAME, the AAA wuxia action game combines Chinese martial arts, sword fighting, and dark fantasy. It launched on PC and PlayStation 5, with its standard PC edition priced at RMB 268 in China. The Steam player count provides an early indication of the game’s launch audience on PC, alongside its separate PlayStation release. Players control Soul, an assassin framed for his organization’s leader’s murder, who has 66 days to uncover the conspiracy. [Steam Charts]
